BOXPARK NORTH, BETWEEN THE SPACES

THE BRIEF

Working in collaboration with the designers you should work to develop and plan the 'Spaces in-between' your individual container units. Your container units will occupy the 1st floor of BoxPark North.

THE CONCEPT

The layout of the containers is strategically placed connecting to a single ‘spine’ along it’s edges. The ‘spaces in between’ are then occupied by an odd mix of features; a light/sound installation, pop-up cinema, a seating/eating area, and a gathering space allowing visitors to appreciate the view, both of the first floor of BOXPARK and out onto the location (Leeds: Victoria Gate and/or Victoria Quarter). The overall design will be bold with markings on the floor guiding and separating areas into their different functions yet maintaining connections such as the deliberate space left behind the container between the view and the pop-up cinema allowing for passage between the two.
